Driving Business Transformation Through the Business Automation Hackathon
Daily Skills, in collaboration with IBARC (Integrated Business Automation Research Centre), successfully organised and executed Kerala’s first-ever Business Automation Hackathon at Monsoon Empress, Palarivattom, Kochi. Spearheaded by automation expert and former Indian Navy Technical Officer Subilal K., the event was conceptualised to empower entrepreneurs and business owners with the knowledge, practical skills and technological capabilities required to embrace the future of business automation. Moving beyond conventional training sessions and theoretical discussions, we played a key role in bringing together entrepreneurs, technology enthusiasts and aspiring startup founders on a common platform to explore the possibilities of automation and artificial intelligence. The hackathon was designed around a hands-on learning approach, enabling participants to identify operational challenges within their businesses, understand how emerging technologies could address them, and develop practical automation solutions tailored to their specific requirements. Through structured guidance, practical demonstrations and live implementation, the initiative transformed the concept of business automation into an accessible and actionable experience for businesses across Kerala.
Creating Tangible Impact and Shaping the Future of Businesses in Kerala
The successful completion of the Business Automation Hackathon marked an important milestone in our mission to accelerate digital transformation and technology adoption among Kerala’s business community. The programme demonstrated how artificial intelligence, intelligent automation and modern digital tools can significantly reduce operational costs, save time, improve productivity and eliminate repetitive manual processes. By providing entrepreneurs with direct exposure to automation technologies and practical implementation strategies, the hackathon helped bridge the gap between technological possibilities and real-world business applications.
Beyond the immediate outcomes, the initiative laid the foundation for a larger vision of automating one lakh businesses over the next five years, creating new opportunities for startups, strengthening the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and encouraging young talent to build successful careers within Kerala. With 30 businesses successfully automated and 10 new startups receiving a launch opportunity, the event demonstrated the potential of collaborative, technology-driven initiatives to create meaningful economic and professional opportunities. This successful initiative is just the beginning of our continued efforts to make businesses smarter, more efficient and globally competitive through accessible technology and practical innovation.
Result:
- 30 Businesses Successfully Automated
- New Startups Given a Launch Opportunity
